“This small appliance packs a punch! It is not loud (the noise is audible though) and has lighted settings. I thought it wouldn’t not hold a lot of water, but surprisingly it does. “Our house was built in 1951. The ceilings in most of the house are well insulated but the kitchen, hall bathroom, and craftroom are not. In addition, there’s no ac vent in the hall bathroom. Also, they put tile on top of tile and the floor is higher but they never cut the door down so there’s not a lot of airflow under the door. And it’s the bathroom we use most often for showers. And the vent fan thingy doesn’t work great. Add all this together and the bathroom is hot, muggy, and was beginning to get a little mold. It was frustrating but I wasn’t sure what to do. Cracking the window while running the fan helped in the winter but come spring, it’s just as humid out there. And so I started looking for dehumidifiers, not sure if a little one would work well but knowing the bathroom isn’t big enough to fit a big one. I found this one on Amazon and it was $40. Worth the gamble to me. And wow has it been effective! We only have one outlet in there and the wifi extender is plugged into one plug and the other was a nightlight. I wasn’t sure what we’d do but, luckily, the dehumidifier also has led lights so it’s our new nightlight. Everyone who had been in our bathroom has commented on how much difference it’s made since I put the dehumidifier in a couple weeks ago. It’s cooler in there, no more mold trying to grow, and it never feels muggy. We’ve had it several weeks now and I’ve emptied it a few times a week, it’s definitely doing it’s job! The reservoir isn’t big, so it probably wouldn’t work for somewhere you won’t see it to empty it often (it does have a floater to do an auto shut off if it gets too full) but it’s been perfect for this bathroom we use multiple times a day. If you’re also in the humid part of Texas (or anywhere else humid!), this might really help you keep parts of your house a little bit cooler!” — Dailey Sews & Stuff

“I bought this Dehumidifier in mid June, but decided to give my review near the end of the summer in the hopes that it would impress me with its performance over the hot and hazy season. I am impressed! I live in a basement apartment in NJ and my bedroom is about 10 X 11. My window is that small rectangular size which could not accommodate an A/C, so this was my best option. In June it was not all that humid, but my dehumidifier pulled in enough moisture to fill “the well” 3/4 of the way in a week’s time. It also emits a nice breath of cool air from the top, so as to make sleeping comfortable all by itself. In July, I added a small fan (no bigger than this unit) and together the humidity was being extracted, while cooler air was being added. By the way, the fan is way more noisy than this unit which is amazingly quiet, and the night light is soft and easy to turn off for sleeping. By late July, early August (the most humid months) the water “well” (which holds exactly 3 cups of water), was filling completely in just 4 days. BTW, I keep this unit running 24/7 except when away on vacation. I remember thinking about last summer, when I had 2 small fans aimed on me from both sides of the bed and yet I could find no relief because they just swirled the humidity all around instead of eliminating it. “Only started using this about a day and a half ago. My apartment doesn’t have very good air circulation and I had been getting mold in my closet. I bought disposable dehumidifiers but they filled up so fast I realized my room was more humid than I thought. So far this is really working pretty good. Collecting moisture pretty dang fast. My home is currently kept between 72-74F. This unit makes a slight amount of white noise but it’s barely noticable. I like that I can change the color of the light and turn it off completely. “This product package has all the bells and whistles one could ask for at a very reasonable cost. The engergy consumption on this unit is extremely low. My unit did arrive with an issue where the hydrometer within the unit was not accurately reading the humidity in the room. I contacted customer service via email and was please with how helpful, professional and dedicated they were.
